At our April meeting, the Great Bay Stewards was thrilled to have Newmarket, N.H. resident Valerie Shelton join the the Board of Trustees. Ms. Shelton is a native and long-time resident of Newmarket and owner of Appledore Real Estate, which she co-founded in 1994 with her life partner, Diane Morin. She is a current member of the Newmarket Planning Board and a past member of the Newmarket Community Development Corporation, the Newmarket Conservation Commission, and the Gundalow Company board of directors. A 1982 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, she remains an active alumnus and served two terms on the UNH Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ms. Shelton is also a member of the Realtors national, state and local associations and serves on the Professional Standards Committee of the Seacoast Board of Realtors.
Ms. Shelton said she is pleased to represent Newmarket on the Stewards Board and continue in her lifetime of working to protect the Bay. “New Hampshire’s coastal waters have always been a part of my life,” Shelton says. “Great Bay and its seven tributary rivers have been a catalyst of so many happy memories spent with family and friends over the years. It’s an honor and a privilege to be associated with an organization whose mission is to protect this unique treasure for future generations to also cherish and enjoy all the natural beauty and ecosystems it offers.”
We hope you will join us in welcoming Val to the Board!
